How it works
No setup and nothing to learn. If you can share a photo, you can check a message.
- Share it
In Messages, Mail or Safari, tap Share, then Check for Scams. Or paste it into the app.
- Wait a moment
Links are checked and the message is read for the tricks scammers use.
- Know what to do
A clear answer, the warning signs, and the next steps to stay safe.
A clear answer, not a guess
Every check gives a risk score and one of three plain answers:
- Likely a scam
- Be careful
- Looks safe
Texts, emails, links and screenshots
Check anything that looks off. Screenshots are read on your iPhone; the image never leaves it.
See where links really go
Even links hidden behind "Click here". Brand-new websites and look-alike addresses are flagged.
Scam texts go to Junk
Turn on the Scam Text Filter and clear scams from unknown numbers are moved to Junk as they arrive.
The warning signs, explained
Fake urgency, odd payment requests, a sender pretending to be your bank. You learn to spot them yourself.
Report it
Where to report a scam in your country, and what to do if you've already paid.
Private by design
Nothing is sent until you choose to check it. Your history stays on your iPhone.
Made to be simple
Big, clear answers that anyone in the family can understand.
Your messages stay yours
- We only see what you choose to check. It's analyzed, then discarded.
- No name or email needed: you sign in with Apple.
- No tracking, and we never sell data.
- Delete your account in the app at any time, and everything goes with it.
